Champers Restaurant Barbados – Let’s Go!

I had the opportunity to visit Champers Restaurant located in Christ Church Parrish recently. This post is not really a review. Merely some photos and some things I saw about the spot.

As for me, I was there with some friend girls to celebrate a birthday in the group.  Champers sits right on the water so you get a great view of the water as you dine. And if you’re there when the sunsets, that’s even better. We arrived at a good time to be able to see the sun go down. The view was beautiful. The inside was easily romantic.

The space was large and the decor was well enough. The touches of turquoise blue caught my attention. It’s such pleasing hue. I loved the detail of the menu where they wished my friend a happy birthday.

Personalized menu

For me personally, the food was a welcomed change from the usual breadfruit, macaroni pie and fish you get locally. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp as a starter which I enjoyed. For my main, I ordered the lamb shank with mashed potatoes. When I tell you that lamb was fork tender. So delicious. For my dessert, I ordered the gluten-free brownie with ice cream (not pictured). It was my first time having a gluten free dessert. I opted out of the adult beverage while dining there. There were other drinks later that night.

Me being the greedy person I am, I tasted pretty much every dish and dessert. I even ended up taking the birthday girl’s cheesecake. She had so many desserts and was stuffed so she didn’t want it. I will say the cheesecake was a little bland but I surely at it. The plate you see below with the sparkler on it was the offering from the restaurant.

If you’re in the area and looking for somewhere to eat, check it out for yourself. Bring plenty of money. It is pricey. For context, my shrimp starter, main and dessert was $118 BDS.
